UPDATE (5 NOV 11:35AM): A Razer rep tells us that the originally listed price of RM819 was an error, and the actual price of the Sentinels Edition is in fact RM859, with the official site also reflecting this. This fits the pattern of special editions costing more, but it’s still unfortunate nevertheless.

ORIGINAL STORY (4 NOV 6:18PM):

The Razer Viper V3 Pro has been around for awhile, and it looks like it is now getting a special edition model. It’s called the Sentinels Edition, named after the pro Valorant esports team, with a red colourway to match. And oddly enough, it costs slightly less than the base model variant, if you can believe it.

In addition to the red colourway, you also get the team’s logo on the Razer Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition, as well as the team name’s first three letters, in place of the three snakes logo. The company’s name is now on the left click mouse button instead, so there’s a bit more to the nice coat of paint than just the colour change.

Beyond the aesthetics though, the Razer Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition is the same as the base model, and even with an improvement to add. It now features the brand’s third generation optical mouse switches over the second gen of the base model. Beyond that, everything else on the mouse’s spec sheet is the same, from its weight to battery life at varying polling rates.

Which brings us to its price. On the brand’s official site, the Razer Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition has a price tag of RM819. Which is interesting as the base models, in both black and white, retain their launch prices of RM829 RM859. You can place your pre-order for the red model now, with shipping starting on 2 December.
