Last month, shortly after the announced Disney+ Hotstar subscription price changes, Unifi stated that it will announce more information in regards subscribers affected by the new rate. Said announcement is now here, and it looks like the Unifi TV Packs that already have Disney+ Hotstar included will get bumped up to the latter’s Premium Plan at no additional cost. Of course, this is only expected to take effect starting 24 April.
It’s worth noting that this benefit is only for existing subscribers. New subscribers to a Unifi TV Ultimate Pack, its Max and Plus variants, as well as the Kids Pack and Movies Pack, will only be getting the Basic Plan of Disney+ Hotstar, according to a recently updated FAQ document.
If you are already a Unifi TV customer, but subscribed to Disney+ Hotstar via the a la carte RM16 a month add-on, or the quarterly RM54.90 add-on, you unfortunately don’t get a permanent upgrade to Premium. In fact, you only get to enjoy the benefits of the latter’s Premium Plan until the end of your billing cycle. Beyond that, if you want to retain the benefits of the Premium Plan, you’ll have to add an additional RM9.90 to your monthly subscription cost.
Also noted in the updated FAQ is that if you’re not already subscribed to the a la carte Disney+ Hotstar add-on, it is not currently possible to do so. You can find out more by heading over to said page, linked below.
