[UPDATE: 4:13 PM, 22 Mar 2024] CelcomDigi has informed us that the bonus promo is valid from 1 March onwards for both new sign-ups and existing users who switch to the applicable 5G plans.

[Original story: 2:54 PM, 22 Mar 2024]

We have discovered that CelcomDigi is now offering massive amounts of bonus monthly data to those who sign up for select 5g postpaid plans. Specifically, the blue and yellow telco is offering more data for Postpaid 5G 80 and Postpaid 5G 100 with what seems to be a new promo.

The carrier is offering an additional 60GB of data for 12 months on top of the 90GB quota of the Postpaid 5G 80 plan. Meanwhile, the Postpaid 5G 100 plan is getting an extra 100GB of internet for 12 months, racking up the total monthly quota to a whopping 250GB. It is unclear if this promo is exclusive to new sign-ups or whether it is also being rolled out to existing customers.

To recap the two plans, Postpaid 5G 80 costs RM80/month with a 5G speed cap of 100Mbps while the 5G speed for those on Postpaid 5G 100 is limited to 300Mbps. They both have a hotspot quota that is shared with the data cap and also come with unlimited calls.

The company is still offering a RM10/month discount for customers who subscribe to any of the 5G postpaid plans with a 12-month contract. Additionally, subscribers of Postpaid 5G 260 are offered free lifetime CelcomDigi Fibre at 300Mbps while those on the other 5G plans are offered six months of free home fibre. We have reached out to the telco to get further information on this promo.
