vivo Malaysia has announced that its vivo Y27 5G smartphone can be obtained at an affordable price through its collaboration with Yes 5G. The device, which was initially launched back in August of last year, is now included part of the telco’s Yes Power 35 Rahmah plan, alongside several other midrange and entry-level devices on offer.

The plan itself was introduced as a limited time offering, which was initially planned to end on 31 December 2023. However, according to the official FAQ page, Yes has extended the duration to 31 March this year.

For the uninitiated, the Yes Power 35 Rahmah plan offers 100GB of combined 5G and 4G data with unlimited speed, unlimited calls, and shared hotspot capability. It also comes with an extra one-plus-one year warranty for devices paired together with the plan. On that note, you can get the vivo Y27 5G at only RM299 on the RM35/month plan, though keep in mind that you will be committed to a 24-month contract.

To recap on its specifications, the vivo Y27 5G sports a 6.64-inch 1080p LCD display with a refresh rate of 60Hz and peak brightness of 600 nits. Under the hood is a 5G-enabled midrange MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, as well as a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.

For imaging, it features a 50MP main camera on the back alongside a depth sensor, while in front is an 8MP selfie shooter. Additionally, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, as well as support for Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity.
