Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy S24 flagship smartphone lineup today but what it did not reveal was its upcoming fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit3. Despite that, the device received local approval just yesterday, confirming that it is definitely coming soon.
Listed with the model number SM-R390, the Galaxy Fit3 received SIRIM certification on 17 January 2024. It was previously rumoured that the fitness tracker would be launched at the same time as the Galaxy S24 series, but the company made no mention of it during the event. The Fit3 will succeed the Fit2, which came out all the way back in 2020.
While there is a lack of official info from the tech giant, there have been several leaked images as well as specs that have come out last year. If the leaks are to be believed, it will have a massively different design than its predecessor, sporting a much larger 1.61-inch rectangular AMOLED display with rounded corners.
The Galaxy Fit3 will reportedly offer a longer battery life that can last up to 21 days on a single charge with Bluetooth 5.3 and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. Additionally, there will likely be a heart monitor, an accelerometer, and a gyro, but it’s unlikely to be equipped with GPS at its price point.
