Samsung Malaysia has announced the arrival of its latest affordable fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit2. The device is the long awaited successor to the original 2014 model, featuring a larger display and battery life, as well as many other improvements.
The Galaxy Fit2 comes with a sleek 3D glass design, which includes a wide 1.1-inch full colour AMOLED display and a multi-function touch button. The new Samsung fitness tracker is water-resistant up to 50m with 5ATM certification which allows it to be used for swimming, on top of other sporting activities. Powering the device is a 159mAh battery, which is claimed to offer 15 to 21 days of use on a single charge.
As for fitness tracking features, the Fit2 is capable of logging metrics such as calories burned, distance travelled, heart rate, steps taken and so on. It is also able to automatically detect the type of sporting activity that you’re currently doing and record the data accordingly. All logged information are shared to the Samsung Health companion app on mobile devices in order for you to keep track of your overall fitness.
The new Samsung Galaxy Fit2 is now locally available at the brand’s experience stores, authorised partners and Samsung Malaysia E-store. The device is offered in Black and Scarlet colour variants, and is retailing at RM179.
