The Tecno Spark Go 2024 is the latest entry-level smartphone from the brand, replacing the 2023 model that was released earlier this year. It’s very similar to its predecessor with some meaningful upgrades on the spec sheet in some areas, but it also comes with a price bump.
It retains the same 6.6-inch LCD display but the refresh rate has been upgraded from 60Hz to 90Hz. The tear-drop notch has been replaced with a “Dynamic Port”, its version of Apple’s Dynamic Island that was also featured on the Pop 8. Despite being at an ultra-low price point, it still carries a fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, and a USB-C port, just like the 2023 version.
Inside, the Spark Go 2024 runs on a Unisoc T606 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot for up to 1TB of storage expansion. The back sports 13MP main camera next to a so-called “AI camera”, as well as an improved 8MP front camera. The battery has a capacity of 5,000mAh and sadly, it still charges at a speed of 10W.
The Spark Go 2024 is available for RM399 in white, black, gold, and green. It can be purchased through the brand’s Shopee and Lazada stores.
