Back in July, Yoodo ended its free trial pass for 5G, charging its users an extra RM5 if they want to access the faster network. Now the carrier is lowering the price to as low as RM1 and even giving away a massive chunk of free data, but with a catch.
The price of the pass still starts from RM5 for those who choose either 2GB or 6GB of high-speed data for their plan. However, this is lowered to RM3 if you opt for between 10GB to 30GB and for those on 40GB or more, it only costs a nominal amount of RM1.
Adding on to that, Yoodo is offering an additional quota of 25GB for free for anyone who has a base data plan of 40GB to 100GB as well as the RM1 5G pass. Those on existing plans need to go to the app, click on “Change Plan”, and make the necessary adjustments in order to qualify for the extra data.
This change went into effect on 1 November but in its press release, Yoodo calls it a “promo”, implying that it might not be a permanent offer. A representative told us there is currently no end date set for the promo.
