[Update – 8 September 2023, 1:50 PM]

A vivo representative has told us that the phone will instead be arriving on 20 September, a day earlier than the countdown displayed on the website.

[Original Story – 7 September 2023, 4:00 PM]

The vivo V29 has officially been unveiled on the brand’s website after months of teasing. It is the latest in the V29 series after the V29 Lite and the recent V29e, with the Pro version that was teased earlier this still being kept under wraps.

It sports a large 6.78-inch 2800 × 1260 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and in some regions, NFC. The V29 does have eSIM compatibility but only in versions sold in Europe and Latin America.
