HONOR has launched the MagicPad 13, its latest premium tablet, during an event in China that also saw the unveiling of the new Magic V2 foldable. The device is the brand’s first tablet powered by MagicOS 7.2 and is touted to be a notable multimedia product.
The MagicPad 13 sports a 13-inch 2880×1840 IPS LCD display with up to a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, a peak brightness of 700 nits, and HDR 10 support. Moreover, the brand claims that it has a colour accuracy of ∆E<1 and is an IMAX Enhanced display. Interestingly, the tablet offers the first-ever 3D spatial audio feature that does not require headphones but instead uses a total of eight speakers.
Underneath the exterior, it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, although it could come with different configuration options in other markets. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 type-C port supports external storage devices as well as being able to output 4K 60fps to an external monitor.
The back of the phone features a 13MP sensor with autofocus while the front houses a 9MP fixed-focus selfie camera. It is powered by a 10,050mAh battery with support for 66W charging.
For pricing, the MagicPad 13 starts from CNY2,999 (~RM1,924) for the base 8GB+256GB model and comes in three different colour options. As of now, the company has not announced if or when the tablet will coming to the global market.
