Nothing today has the local memory configurations for the Phone (2), which is slated to launch in Malaysia in just a couple more days. Based on the information given by the company, it appears that the device will only be offered in two storage sizes, while the RAM capacity remains consistent across either option.

To be more specific, Nothing says that the Phone (2) will come with either 12GB RAM + 256GB storage or 12GB + 512GB for its upcoming local release. Missing from the list of choices is the starting 8GB + 128GB configuration that was unveiled during last night’s launch. Given that the latter option also happens to be the more affordable among the three, its exclusion for the local market may disappoint some consumers.

As for colour options, the company confirms that both the white and dark grey versions for either memory configurations will be offered locally. Nothing adds that Malaysia is one of the first countries in the world to receive the Phone (2), with initial sales starting this Saturday on 15 July 2023, exclusively via Crossover Mid Valley at 10am. It is also revealed that the device will only be publicly available locally a week after, on 22 July via authorised retailers nationwide including Yes5G, DirectD, TMT, Urban Republic, Tac Mobile, Vivid Concepts, as well as the company’s official online stores on Shopee and Lazada.

Local pricing for the Nothing Phone (2) will only be revealed during its Malaysian launch which is happening this Friday on 14 July 2023. For your reference, the company’s second ever smartphone debuted globally at a starting price of US$599 (~RM2,790) for the 8GB + 128GB configuration.
