vivo is officially bringing the vivo Y55+ 5G into Malaysia as part of Yes’ Infinite Plus offering. It will be officially available for purchase at all physical vivo and Yes stores starting from 9 June and it is also available for pre-order now on the Yes official website.

The phone sports a 6.58-inch LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a tear-drop front camera cutout. The plastic body comes in Starlight Black and Glowing Galaxy, with a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone. The entry-level device also ships with Funtouch OS based on Android 12.

It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 18W wired charging but unfortunately, it does not have support for wireless charging.

The back of the vivo Y55+ features a triple-array setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP bokeh camera, and a 2MP macro lens while the front is equipped with an 8MP selfie camera. As for connectivity, the phone supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-SIM and of course, 5G. While it only has a single bottom-firing speaker, the phone has a 3.5mm audio jack.

Without a plan, the phone by itself carries a price tag of RM1,099, but with the basic Yes Infinite Plus telco plan, the vivo Y55+ is completely free with a 36-month contract. The basic plan costs RM58 per month and comes with unlimited 5G and 4G data, as well as unlimited calls.

While calls and data are uncapped, the tiers differ by the amount of hotpot given. It starts at a 10GB quota for the basic plan and goes all the way up to 100GB for the Ultra plan, which costs RM178 per month and comes with either a vivo X80 or a Samsung Galaxy S22.
