Some said the best time to buy a phone is when a new model comes out because you can then purchase the older model for slightly less. If you are on the same school of thought, then you might already be thinking of iPhone 12, now that iPhone 13 has made its official debut earlier this week.
True enough, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, which are still officially available through Apple Malaysia’s website, have since received a price cut. Here are how their new price tags look like:
iPhone 12 Mini 64GB: RM2,899 (launch price: RM3,399)
iPhone 12 Mini 128GB: RM3,099 (RM3,599)
iPhone 12 Mini 256GB: RM3,599 (RM4,099)
iPhone 12 64GB: RM3,399 (RM3,899)
iPhone 12 128GB: RM3,599 (RM4,099)
iPhone 12 256GB: RM4,099 (RM4,599)
In general, we are looking at an RM500 price cut for each variation of iPhone 12 and iPhone mini. On another hand, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are no longer available through Apple Malaysia’s website as per what we have pointed out in our previous report.
What this generally means is that Apple has discontinued both devices but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on them though. You can still purchase the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max through local Apple Authorized Resellers (AARs) and telcos.
Naturally, the price cut still applies to them as well. These are the pricings for iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, as listed by local AARs such as Machines, and Switch:
iPhone 12 Pro 128GB: RM4,399 (launch price: RM4,899)
iPhone 12 Pro 256GB: RM4,899 (RM5,399)
iPhone 12 Pro 512GB: RM5,699 (RM6,299)
iPhone 12 Pro Max 128GB: RM4,799 (RM5,299)
iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB: RM5,199 (RM5,799)
iPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB: RM6,099 (RM6,699)
For the Pro models, you are looking at price differences between RM500 to RM600 depending on the respective variant. If you are interested to get your hands on any of these iPhone 12 models, do reach out directly to your favourite AARs to check in-store availability and other related details.
