Waze is definitely one of the more popular navigation apps available to smartphone users. This is mostly thanks to its crowd-sourced information gathering capabilities, which enables road users to update one another in real-time of nearby slowdowns, accidents and so on.
Further expanding on this, the platform has introduced a significant upgrade to its Trip Preview feature which would deliver more important information to users in order to help them plan for a trip – even before they step into their car. After deciding on a destination, Waze will now supply you with details such as the different alternate routes available for the journey, the potential obstructions that you may encounter on each provided route, the total cost you need to prepare when using tolled roads, and more.
According to the platform, this update will also supply you with answers to help you to decide which option is best for your upcoming trip. “From now on you’ll be getting ‘the why’ in your trip preview, so you’ll know Waze is making the best recommendation,” Waze wrote on its blog.
The upgraded Trip Preview is available in the latest version of the platform’s mobile app on both iOS and Android devices. However, Waze noted that the update is gradually being rolled out across the globe, so some users may not see the new feature just yet.
