Xiaomi Malaysia has introduced two new models to the Redmi Note 10 family with the Note 10 5G and Note 10S smartphones. Both devices are powered by two different MediaTek processors, with the former touted as Redmi’s most affordable 5G-enabled handset to date.
The first model, the Redmi Note 10 5G, sports a 6.5-inch AdaptiveSync DotDisplay with 90Hz refresh rate and top-centered cutout for its selfie camera. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Dual 5G SIM support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port for data transfer and charging. In terms of colour selection, the new handset is available in Chrome Silver, Graphite Gray, Nighttime Blue and Aurora Green.
Hardware-wise, the phone comes equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, along with 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. Powering the Note 10 5G is a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
On the back of the phone is a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP main snapper, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. Housed in the punch-hole cutout on its display is a 8MP front-facing camera.
Next up is the Redmi Note 10S, which comes with a slightly smaller 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a tiny top-centered selfie camera cutout. Much like the newly launched sibling, it also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm jack, and a USB-C port. The phone is available in three colours: Onyx Gray, Pebble White, and Ocean Blue.
Under its hood is a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Again, similar to the 5G model, the Note 10S also comes with a battery capacity of 5,000mAh, but features a faster charging speed at 33W.
This variant comes with a beefier camera setup which consists of four different shooters. The first being a 64MP sensor for its main camera, followed by a 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. Found on its display’s punch-hole cutout is a 13MP selfie camera.
The Redmi Note 10 5G will be available for purchase starting from 28 May at RM799 via the official Xiaomi stores on Lazada, Shopee, and authorised Mi Stores and other official retailers nationwide. The brand noted that for a limited time, every purchase of the handset includes exclusive free gifts such as a Redmi Note 10 5G T-shirt (offline only), Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic 2, and 6-months screen protection warranty while stocks last.
Meanwhile, the Note 10S will arrive earlier in Malaysia, specifically on 21 May at a retail price of RM899 via the same online and offline Xiaomi stores as well as authorised retailers as mentioned above. Much like the phone’s sibling, the brand is also offering a limited time promotion where each purchase of this model will come with complimentary Mi True Wireless Earbuds while stocks last.
