Garmin Malaysia has announced that its latest ultra performance GPS watch, the Enduro, is on sale locally starting today. If you recall from our previous report, the new smartwatch boasts a long lasting battery with solar charging capability and is claimed to last as long as two months on a single charge.
As a quick recap, the new Garmin Enduro is equipped with a circular 1.4-inch colour display featuring the brand’s solar-charging Power Glass technology. It is offered in either stainless steel or diamond-like carbon coating case options and comes with the new UltraFit nylon strap. Being a fitness-oriented smartwatch, the Enduro is dust and water proof – although an IP rating was not provided by the company. In regards to the latter, it is claimed to be able to withstand depths of up to 10 meters.
Battery life is perhaps the major highlight for the new smartwatch. Garmin says that the Enduro is able to last up to 50 – 65 days on solar while in smartwatch mode, 70 – 80 hours on GPS mode, and from 130 days to one year on Battery Saver mode. The company noted that these expectancies are assuming that the watch is used while exposed to sunlight for 3 hours per day, outside in 50,000 lux conditions. If required, a proprietary charging cable is also included if you wish to charge it via conventional means.
The Enduro comes with a slew of sensory tech for health tracking including those for heart rate, Sp02, menstrual cycle, hydration and sleep monitoring, as well as other sensors such as accelerometer, barometer, thermometer and more. Also onboard are GPS capabilities, as well as a variety of fitness and typical smartwatch features including Garmin’s Body Battery tool, smartphone connectivity (for both Android and iOS), smart notifications, music control, Garmin Pay, and so on.
As mentioned earlier, the new Garmin Enduro GPS smartwatch is available now, and is priced at RM 3,699. Those interested may check out the brand’s official online stores on Lazada, Shopee and AECO e-store.
