UPDATE (10:00 PM): Xiaomi has revealed the Malaysian pricing for the Redmi Note 10 Series, which starts from as low as RM 649. More details in our report here.

ORIGINAL STORY (7:22 PM):

Ahead of the series’ global launch later this evening, Xiaomi has decided to officially unveil the Redmi Note 10 Series in India first. Over there, the series is being offered in three different variants including the standard model as well as the Redmi Note 10 Pro, and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.

Equipped with a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display, the standard Redmi Note 10 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 alongside up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2-based internal storage. The phone’s display also housed a 13MP in-display selfie camera that is located on the top centre part of the screen.

The phone’s photography module on its back features a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor for its main camera while being accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor. Xiaomi has also equipped the standard Redmi Note 10 with a 5000mAh battery which supports the 33W fast charger that the company has provided alongside the phone.

On another hand, the Redmi Note 10 Pro features a more powerful processor, the Snapdragon 732G alongside a larger 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate. This model also comes with an in-display selfie camera but has a much larger resolution sensor at 16MP.

Similarly, the main camera on the Pro model also has a higher resolution sensor in the form of 64MP Samsung GW3. The rear camera module on Redmi Note 10 Pro also contained an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP super macro camera that also has 2x zoom capability, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Completing the Redmi Note 10 Pro’s general specifications is a 5020mAh battery and just like the standard model, a 33W fast charger has also been included with the phone. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has the same exact specifications as per the Pro model with the exception of its main camera which utilises the 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor.

In India, both Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max can be obtained with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Side-mounted fingerprint reader and 3.5mm audio jack come as standard across three models within the Redmi Note 10 family in India.

Price-wise, the standard Redmi Note 10 starts at INR 11,999 (~RM 669) while the Pro and Pro Max variants are listed from INR 15,999 (~RM 892) and INR 18,999 (~RM 1,060) onwards. At this moment, Xiaomi has yet to announce the availability of the Redmi Note 10 Series for Malaysia but given that the series’ global launch event will only take place later this evening, do stay tuned for further information.
