Even though other ISPs have offered home fibre broadband plans with a download speed of up to 1Gbps since a few years ago, TM’s unifi offerings generally stuck at a ceiling limit of 300Mbps. That changes today though as the company has launched two more home fibre broadband plans which have subsequently increased unifi’s maximum speed options to 800Mbps.

Technically, the unifi 500Mbps and 800Mbps plans have existed before but they were provided in the form of unifi Turbo upgrades. Specifically, they were given to customers that subscribed to unifi 50Mbps and 100Mbps plans before 31 December 2018 but were never offered as stand-alone plans.

At this moment, the unifi 500Mbps plan can be obtained with a monthly fee of RM 249 while the unifi 800Mbps plan goes for RM 349 per month. In terms of upload speed, both plans offer up to 200Mbps and they also come with unifi TV’s Ultimate Pack.

Customers that choose to subscribe either of these plans will also receive unifi Plus Box and a pair of TP-Link Deco M9 Plus mesh Wi-Fi system. Do note that these new unifi home fibre broadband offerings come with a 24-month contract.

unifi Plus Box is an Android TV-based box that TM has rolled for unifi TV service earlier this year.

As always, we do recommend you to fully understand the Terms and Conditions alongside the FAQ documents that TM has put up on unifi’s website before signing up.
