Back in May, Dell has announced plenty of new gaming machines includes several new models under its premium gaming brand, Alienware. For Malaysia, the Alienware laptops made their way into our market first before being followed by the 2020 Aurora R11 gaming desktop which is now readily available from Dell Malaysia’s website.

In terms of design, the new model looks exactly like its predecessor as both models are conceived via the brand’s Legend design philosophy. But of course, the hardware options for the Aurora R11 has been refreshed to suit 2020’s market which includes processor options of up to Intel Core i9-10900F processor.

For our market, the Aurora R11 graphics selection maxed out at a single NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super card. Unfortunately, the liquid-cooled GeForce RTX 2080 Super option that Alienware has sourced from Asetek is not available for Malaysia though.

However, this does not apply to its CPU though. In fact, the liquid cooling option for the CPU inside Aurora R11 only costs an additional RM 100 and do also note that all Aurora R11 for our market are fitted with a 1000W power supply unit as standard.

Meanwhile, Alienware team has also chosen to equip the Aurora R11 with premium RAM stick in the form of HyperX Fury DDR4-2933 XMP memory. While customers can choose to fit it with up to 32GB of RAM from the factory, they can also add more RAM by themselves as the machine actually able to support up to 64GB.

As for its storage, the maximum option that is available in Dell Malaysia’s website is 512GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive together with a 2TB 7200rpm hard drive. Pricewise, the 2020 Aurora R11 is currently being offered with a discounted price tag that starts from as low as RM 6499.

That being said, the discount rate that Dell Malaysia provides for Aurora R11 differs from one configuration to another though. So, you might want to check out its official website for further details.
