Ice-Watch Japan has unveiled a new limited edition timepiece as part of a collaboration with Pokemon and Nintendo. The new watch will be released in commemoration of the grand reopening of the Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo in Ikebukuro, Tokyo which underwent renovations in spring earlier this year.
The Pokemon Center x Ice-Watch timepiece – also known officially as Ice-Watch Mega Tokyo R – features a silicone rubber case and strap which is white in front and salmon pink on the back. It has a 40mm prism coloured dial, while its bezel, crown, and buckle are presented in gold.
Also featured on its dial is an embossed gold outline of Pokemon’s iconic mascot Pikachu, and on its back is a gold rear case. The watch uses quartz-based movement and is also waterproof rated at 10ATM. Of course, the Ice-Watch Mega Tokyo R will come with a similarly themed exclusive packaging as well.
The limited edition timepiece is priced at JPY16,000 (~RM640), and will be released at all Pokemon Centers across Japan on 4 July 2020. Additionally, the watch can also be pre-ordered via Pokemon Center’s online store starting from 2 July. However, Ice-Watch has not announced any plans to release the watch outside of Japan, and the chances of that happening is very slim.
