Malaysia’s first Pokemon Centre Pop-Up Store is set to open its doors soon. Situated at Ombak KLCC, the store will offer fans the opportunity to acquire Pokemon merchandise, including some exclusive items. Ahead of the opening, Pokemon Malaysia has released an entry guide for prospective patrons on its official Facebook page. Said guide covers the rules for ticketing and admission, which will be in effect from 12 to 14 September 2026.
As per the guide, tickets for entering the store will be distributed in Zone 1, located at Level G at the main entrance of Ombak KLCC. The queue for tickets will begin at 6AM, but the organisers will only begin distributing them at 8AM. The guide also warns against queueing or gathering before the set time. Those attempting to do so before 6AM will be disqualified and denied entry immediately. Beyond that, these same-day store entry tickets will be valid for one person only and cannot be transferred to another individual. Furthermore, once the supply of tickets has run out, no more will be issued for that day.
Upon acquiring a ticket, the guest must proceed to Zone 2 for admission. This is located on Level 3 of the mall. Naturally, one may only enter this area with a valid store entry ticket. Visitors are required to show up at the assigned time for admission. Additionally, the guide notes that during this early period, no Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) products will be available. The store operator may also refuse entry to those who fail to follow staff instructions, queues before the designated time, or causes a disturbance to others. Lastly, these guidelines may be amended without prior notice.
According to the Facebook post, these rules are meant to ensure a safe and pleasant visit experience for all guests. Although the company did not outright mention it, the guidelines are likely in place to prevent overcrowding and deter scalpers. The latter has become enough of a problem that Pokemon Card Stores in Japan have resorted to employing facial recognition tech.
