Back in April, Xiaomi’s Country Manager for Malaysia and Singapore, Nicholas Shi has stated in a media interview that the company is working to release more IoT products into our market. While we still waiting for further updates regarding the release of Mi TV for Malaysia, several new Xiaomi’s smart products that are making their way here as we speak.
One of them is the Mi Wi-Fi Range Extender Pro which will be making its official debut in Malaysia on 25 June. As per its name, this particular device is designed to enlarge the Wi-Fi coverage in your home or premise.
Equipped with two external antennas, the MediaTek-powered device apparently can be set up easily through Xiaomi Home app and able to deliver a speed of up to 300Mbps. Designed to cater up to 16 devices at a time, do note that the Mi Wi-Fi Range Extender Pro can only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band.
Pricewise, the Mi Wi-Fi Range Extender Pro will be made available at all Authorized Mi Stores throughout the country for RM 59. Meanwhile, Xiaomi Malaysia will also introduce the Mi Ionic Hairdryer and Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop into our market at the same time for RM 179 and RM 999, respectively.
