It’s been forever since we last heard from the Kingdom Hearts series. Its developer and publisher Square Enix recently made an announcement for a new game into the series. It’s called Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, which tells you what you know to about the game.
Naturally, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory features longtime series main character Sora. He will of course be joined by other Disney characters over the course of the game, depending on the level. Being a rhythm game, the game will feature over 140 songs from Disney and the Kingdom Hearts series.
From the trailer, it plays pretty much like your ordinary rhythm game. The enemies look like they are lined up in a way the key presses are in other rhythm games, so they serve as a fancy key press indicator. It will also come with four game modes, including online battles.
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will be released worldwide in 2020. It’s a vague date, and that’s where Square Enix stopped as far as launch details go. But at least the company shared that the game will be available on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
