We have just received confirmation that Lenovo is currently working to release the upcoming Legion Gaming Phone in Malaysia soon. This is based on the remark made by the General Manager of Lenovo Malaysia, Varinderjit Singh during a media briefing for the Lenovo Legion gaming PC series earlier today.
That being said, Varinderjit didn’t reveal any specific release date for the gaming phone in Malaysia. However, he did mention that it will take place towards the end of this year.
In general, today’s revelation was rather surprising as we do not expect that Lenovo has planned to release the Snapdragon 865-based Legion gaming phone in Malaysia give that the teasers and leaks so far have been originated from China. Furthermore, Lenovo has been inactive in the mobile phone space in Malaysia for the past one to two years.
Speaking about that, Varinderjit has stated that consumers can expect to see additional phones making its way to our market as well. So, it sounds like Lenovo might be planning to revive its mobile business in Malaysia after all.
