Yesterday, Huawei has released nine new products into Malaysia with four of them being MateBook laptops. You might have heard about the first model which is the MateBook X Pro, so now it is time to meet other new releases from Huawei.

Let’s start with the MateBook 13 2020 which is essentially a refreshed model, thanks to the upgraded processor options which include Intel Core i5-10210U and Core i7-10510U. Interesting enough, consumers can also obtain the laptop with AMD Ryzen 5 3500U as well.

However, the Intel variants are equipped with NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics while the AMD variant depends on its integrated AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics. In Malaysia, the 1.3kg laptop also comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB solid state drive across all three variants.

Pricewise, the MateBook 13 2020 with AMD Ryzen 5 goes for RM 3499 while the Intel Core i5 and Core i7 variants are priced at RM 4499 and RM 4999, respectively.

Moving on, Huawei has also added the Ryzen 7 3700U option for the MateBook D 15 alongside 8GB of RAM and 512GB solid state drive. If you prefer a smaller laptop, you can opt for the MateBook D 14 instead, which is still equipped with the same processor, RAM, and storage setup.

Not only that, but both laptops also have the same price tag of RM 2899. The previously released Ryzen 5-based MateBook D 15 is still available on Huawei Malaysia’s online store too in case you want something that costs even less.

All in all, Huawei has pretty much refreshed or provided new hardware options for its MateBook series that cover both mainstream and premium models. While it is about time that the company provide hardware refresh for its MateBook series with 10th Gen Intel Core options, we do wish that Huawei has also added the AMD Ryzen 4000 series into the mix as well, instead of still using the ageing Ryzen 3000 series.
