In a move that seems to mirror Maxis, TM has recently revealed its plan to offer unifi Air to customers that are waiting for Internet installation at their home. This offer will come with unlimited data quota and can be utilize by customers until the installation of their actual unifi Home plan is completed.
In the teaser on unifi’s Facebook and Twitter, the brand did not clarify what it means by unifi Home plan though. According to its official website, the current Home plan that the company is offering includes the predominantly fibre-based 30Mbps, 100Mbps, and 300Mbps plans as well as the legacy unifi Lite and the LTE-based unifi Air itself.

For almost a month, Internet Service Providers and telcos have been prohibited from performing any installation work at customer’s home under the Movement Control Order (MCO) implementation. However, it appears that the decision has been reversed as the Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Ismail Sabri Yaakob has stated last Saturday that ISPs and telcos are now able to perform such job once again.
However, MCMC has since pointed out that on-premise installations can only be performed at locations that have been listed as green zone. Meanwhile, we have reached to TM for further clarifications about its new Unifi Air offer, so stay tuned.
