According to the Finance Minister, Lim Guan Eng, 380,000 e-Tunai Rakyat applications have been received across three e-wallet up till 10 PM yesterday. Out of these applications, 320,000 have been approved up till that time.

In addition to that, the minister has also pointed out that users have spent more than RM 10 million on the first day of e-Tunai Rakyat deployment. As per his announcement back in October 2019 during the tabling of Belanjawan 2020, RM 450 million has been allocated to this program and the government expects that 15 million Malaysians are able to benefit from it.
