Aside from having an official presence on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, a majority of brands also offer direct messaging services via WhatsApp. With that said, CIMB Bank is one such brand that has recently opened an official account on the popular messaging service.
Through the bank’s official WhatsApp account, users can enquire about the current rates, check their application statuses, and even get locations for nearby CIMB banks or services. Other features are expected soon, and the bank is also currently accepting recommendations or suggestions from users in order to provide more services and convenience via the messaging service.
CIMB ensures that all conversations between the user and its messaging service in WhatsApp are secured with end-to-end encryption. Therefore meaning that the messages will not be observed by other parties, including WhatsApp themselves.
