LG Electronics recently introduced their new LG 2020 Ultra Monitor series which will be showcased during CES 2020 in Las Vegas. The series consists of three models including the LG 2020 UltraFine Ergo, UltraGear and UltraWide monitors which caters towards professionals and gamers alike.

2020 LG UltraFine Ergo Display

LG Electronics’ new generation of Ultra monitors to be unveiled at CES® 2020 are designed to dramatically improve the user experience with superior design and cutting-edge performance.

The LG UltraFine Ergo is developed with working professionals in mind, where it features an arm-type stand with a high degree of adjustability to create an ergonomic and customisable workstation. The monitor sports a 32-inch 4K UHD monitor and is powered by LG’s One Cable solution via USB-C. The latter enables the Ergo to provide 4K imaging, fast data transfer, and even power for laptop charging through a single yet convenient cable. Lastly, it also replaces the conventional monitor stand with a desk clamp for extra desk space, while its One Click mount-system further simplifies its set up.

2020 LG UltraGear Gaming Monitors

The LG UltraGear gaming monitors provides a 27-inch 4K UHD display with 1ms Nano IPS and a refresh rate of 144Hz, which can be overclocked to 160Hz. For the ease of precise colour reproduction, the monitors also offers hardware calibration to maximise LG’s IPS technology. The series also is equipped with a DisplayPort which enables VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC) support that allows for virtually lossless performance when handling 4K UHD visuals. VESA DSC is HDR and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible, which allows the UltraGear monitors to offer variable refresh rates and adaptive sync technology.

Finally, we have the LG UltraWide monitor that provides a 38-inch curved QHD+ display with 1ms Nano IPS, 144Hz refresh rate, an aspect ratio of 16:9, and supports NVIDIA G-SYNC. Other than that, the monitor also supports VESA DisplayHDR 600 for a truly dynamic HDR experience, and features Thunderbolt 3 connectivity which is an ideal feature to have for any workstation.

Aside from showcasing their 2020 Ultra Monitors at the upcoming CES 2020 event, LG has not unveiled a release date or pricing for this series. That said, it’s expected that the company will provide further details when the aforementioned event takes place next year.
