Alongside the new Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, Xiaomi yesterday has also launched a trio of Mi True Wireless audio products in Malaysia. Leading the list is the Mi True Wireless Earphones which is also known in certain markets as the Mi Air Bluetooth Headphones.
With each of them is equipped with a 7mm driver that has a combination of neodymium magnet and titanium-plated coil, the Mi True Wireless Earphones also feature touch-based panel that allows users to control certain actions such as answering a phone call, play music, activate noise cancelling, and invoke voice assistant.
Each of them also features an infrared-based ear presence sensor which allows users to automatically pause media playback just by removing one of the earphones. The IPX4-certified Mi True Wireless Earphones also come with Environment Noise Cancellation feature together with a battery life of 3 hours or up to 10 hours if you count their charging case.
Next on the list are the Mi True Wireless Earbuds and Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic. Both models are also respectively known as the Mi AirDots Youth Edition and Redmi AirDots in some markets out there.
In terms of general design, they are indeed pretty much identical to each other and are even equipped with similar-sized 7.2mm audio drivers. So, the easiest way to tell them apart is their colours as the standard version is draped in white while the Basic model is in black.
Furthermore, the standard model comes with touch control which the Basic model feature a more traditional button control. When it comes to battery life, both standard and basic models offers up to 4 hours of operation or 12 hours when used with their respective charging case.
As noted in the images above, the Mi True Wireless Earphones is priced at RM 329 while the Mi True Wireless Earbuds and its Basic counterparts will be made available for RM 179 and RM 99 respectively. You will be able to get your hands on these three Xiaomi wireless audio products starting from 12 October onwards at Authorized Mi Stores throughout the country as well as official Mi Stores on Lazada and Shopee.
