Images of the Xiaomi CC9 recently made its way online, giving the world its first glimpse of the brand’s new mid-range frontrunner. The images were originally posted by the company’s CEO, Lei Jun, via his official Weibo account.
Earlier reports of the CC9 hinted that the phone would have a 48MP main shooter and a 32MP front-facing camera. Specifically, the main camera would house a triple camera setup, comprising a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultrawide sensor.
The images also show that the phone will have dual-speaker grilles at the base, plus a USB-C port. Given the latter, it’s likely that the phone will support some form of fast-charging, as well as facilitate some fast file transfer speeds too. Additionally, the CC9 also sports a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top, and the power button and volume rocker on the right side of the device.
The phone’s colour is also worth mentioning. The pearlescent white hue is clearly a trend; brand like vivo, Huawei, and Samsung have adopted it in one form or another. Signifying a growing trend for this particular palette.
Not much else is known about the phone, but Xiaomi has already begun sending out invites for the phone’s official launch, which is taking place on 2 July. In conjunction with the CC9, the company will also be launching another phone with it, the CC9e.
