ASUS has unveiled another line in the its ROG Strix line of gaming laptops, joining the SCAR and Hero lines. It’s called the ASUS ROG Strix G, and being newly announced it comes packed with the latest components.
As a gaming laptop, graphics is clearly key, and the ASUS Strix G can also be fitted with up to a GeForce RTX 2070. As for the CPU, the ASUS Strix G can be fitted with an Intel Core i7-9750H its highest configuration. It can also support up to 32GB DDR4 RAM. Storage-wise, users have a choice between a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD or 1TB SATA SSHD.
The new ROG Strix G also shows off a new design language, with a few elements taken from on what ASUS calls the ROG Face Off concept design. The laptop will be available in both 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch form factors, with up to a Full HD display running on a 144Hz refresh rate. As for your I/O options, you have HDMI 2.0b output support, as well as compatibility with G-Sync monitors via DisplayPort over USB-C.
Beyond these details, ASUS says it’s an affordable option to the existing Hero and SCAR line. That said, the brand is being coy with details on local pricing and availability, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything from ASUS.
