Back in 2018, rumours about a 2nd generation Samsung Galaxy View popped up on the internet. Not much was known about the tablet in terms of hardware and design, but new image renders obtained by SamMobile are finally giving us an idea of the tablet’s design.
From the looks of it, the Galaxy View 2 seems to flaunt a more up to date, ergonomic hinged stand. Compared to the original, the new hinge now has large hole situated in the middle of the stand; hinting at the oversized tablet’s ability to be used in a hanging position of sorts, as well as to maximise a user’s grip over the tablet.
SamMobile also points out that the Galaxy View 2 will be slightly more compact that the first Galaxy View. Featuring a 17.5-inch display over the original 18.4-inch. Further, the new kickstand will reportedly sit at a 30° angle, either folded or opened and propped upright.
The Galaxy View 2’s hardware still remains unclear, although it should be pointed out that a previously leaked benchmark on GeekBench suggests that the tablet will run on an Exynos 7885 SoC and 3GB RAM. Considering that no official launch date has been given for the device, however, it’s safe to say that Samsung could give the Galaxy View 2 a bump up in the hardware department. Just before its official launch, whenever that may be.
