PLUS yesterday has announced that it will be shutting down all reload lanes for Touch ‘n Go cards during the upcoming Christmas and New Year 2019 festive season. The closure will be applied to all 97 reload lanes at PLUS Highways throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
It will be taking place starting from tomorrow, 21 December 2018 onwards up until 2 January 2019. According to the highway operator, it decided to impose this measure in order to avoid traffic congestion that could be caused by long queues that commonly happened at these reload lanes.
This, hopefully, will lead to better traffic flow during the Christmas and New Year 2019 festive season as PLUS highways will likely see an increase of vehicles during the period. Do note that the PLUS customer services at selected toll plazas will continue to offer Touch ‘n Go reload service from 7:00AM to 10:00PM daily despite the temporary closure of the reload lanes.
With that, it is wise to make sure that the balance within your Touch ‘n Go cards are adequate before you begin to travel for holidays within the next two weeks. This also goes to those that utilize the Touch ‘n Go feature within PLUSMiles card and MyKad.
