Pocophone F1 Armored Edition Coming To Malaysia This Week: But Not The 8GB/256GB Version

F1, the debut creation by Xiaomi’s sub-brand Pocophone made its way into Malaysia late last month not long after it was first unveiled in India. Thanks to the combination of its high-end hardware and a sub-RM 1300 price tag, the phone immediately captured the attention of consumers in our market.

In India, the brand has released a special version of the phone called Armored Edition which provides 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage alongside a Kevlar back. Several reports have stated that the phone will be making its way into Malaysia later this week.

However, the Armored Edition is not identical to the version that was released in India. Instead of carrying 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, the model is equipped with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage just like the standard Pocophone F1 that already available in the market.

In other words, the Armored Edition that will be released in Malaysia later this week only feature Kevlar-base back but not the same amount of RAM and internal storage space. Nevertheless, the phone will still cost slightly more than a standard 6GB/128GB Pocophone F1 at RM 1599.

According to the reports, the phone will be made available at the newly relocated Authorized Mi Store Sunway Pyramid as well as the newly opened Mi Store Sutera Mall Johor Bharu on 27 September. We have yet to hear any official confirmation from Xiaomi Malaysia itself regarding the release of the phone in our market, so stay tuned then.
