The new Fujifilm XF10 is the company’s latest professional compact camera. It features a large 24MP APS-C sensor paired with a fast f/2.8 28mm equivalent lens.
It retains some of the features in the previously released X70 camera. This includes a four-way joystick for Autofocus point selection and also easy access to the menu via the 3-inch touch-screen. However, it loses Fujifilm’s signature manual control dials and also a tilting screen.
For imaging, the 24MP sensor is now a Bayer-filter sensor, rather than Fujifilm’s X-Trans filter. Fujifilm introduced a new feature with the XF10 – Square Mode. This 1:1 square format is perfectly suited for images to be shared on social media networks such as Instagram and Snapchat. Alongside the company’s 11 unique FUJIFILM Film Simulations and 19 Advanced Filters, photographers can go crazy with their creativity while using the XF10.
On board, it features both WiFi and Bluetooth LE for image transfer and remote control functions. The camera is also a lightweight – weighing in at only 280 grams with the battery in. Fujifilm will be shipping the XF10 from August onward for US$499.95 (RM 2,031) in two colours – Black and Gold.
