Fresh from its global unveiling at Computex 2018 earlier this month, the new ASUS ROG Strix GL504 mid-range gaming laptop series is now ready for release in Malaysia. However, the roll out will take place in staggered manner starting with the ROG Strix SCAR II that features NVDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics which is immediately available for purchase in our market.
The SCAR II variant with GeForce GTX 1060 variant will then follow suit in the first week of July 2018. Both models are equipped with 15.3-inch full HD 144Hz display, Intel Core i7-8750H processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 256GB NVMe solid state drive, and 1TB Seagate FireCuda solid state hybrid drive.
All of these features are carried over to ROG Strix Hero II as well with the exception of its memory since this particular model carries 8GB of RAM instead. The Hero II which will be made available in July also features slightly different physical design than SCAR II which include graphics within its keyboard area and the transparent QWER keycaps.
Price-wise, the GeForce GTX 1070 version of SCAR II goes for RM 8499 while the GeForce GTX 1060 unit is listed at RM 6799. For Hero II, it can be obtained for RM 6299.
