ASUS announced the ROG Thor 1200W Platinum during its pre-COMPUTEX 2018 keynote. The PSU is also fully modular, making it a PSU that suitable for PC enthusiasts looking to build a very high-end and powerful system.

The Thor 1200W Platinum is also certified as 80 Plus Platinum, meaning that it is able to maintain an average power efficiency of 93% of the allotted 1200W. It also uses ASUS’ patented IP5X Wing-fan technology to keep it cool while under load. What makes this PSU interesting is that it is the first PSU to have an OLED Power display that actively monitors the amount power that a system uses. And yes, it does come built with ASUS’ Aura Sync RGB technology.

The ASUS ROG Thor 1200W Platinum PSU will be globally available starting August 2018. At the time of writing, ASUS did not provide a local SRP for the Malaysian market.
