Canon is adding on to its wireless photo printer family with the new IVY Photo Printer. The compact printer uses a recharegable battery and Zero-Ink printing technology from ZINK to create a 2 x 3-inch photo printout.
The IVY uses Bluetooth to connect to the Canon Mini Print App on a smartphone. Users can then crop, place frames, apply filters and even “draw” on the image throught the app to personalise the final image to be printed.
The printer uses ZINK print paper, which does not use any ink cartridges on the printer itself. The Canon app also gives users an option to split an image into tiles to be printed in a 2×2 or 3×3 grid to create a larger print.
Availability for the Canon IVY Photo Printer is expected to start soon in the US, with Malaysian availability to be determined in the near future. The printer is available in Rose Gold, Mint Green and Slate Gray for US$130 (RM 506) and the accompanying Canon Mini Print App is available for both iOS and Android devices.
