While we recently have learned that its Redmi Note 5 is ready to be released in Malaysia, Xiaomi is still keeping the launch date a secret. However, that is not the case anymore as the date has been spilled out by Lazada Malaysia.

This is due to the appearance of a banner on this particular set of listings for Xiaomi phones which is labelled as official store by Lazada Malaysia although it has different address than the official Mi Store by Xiaomi Malaysia. Nevertheless, it should be legit as all the products shown are sold by Lazada itself.

According to the banner, Redmi Note 5 will be made available on Lazada starting from 24 April. Since Xiaomi has yet to officially announce the product in Malaysia, it is not known whether the date stated by the banner is exclusive to Lazada or also applies to physical stores as well.

Known as the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India, the Redmi Note 5 is equipped with 5.99-inch full HD+ 18:9 display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor alongside up to 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Other than that, it also comes with dual rear cameras that feature 12MP and 5MP sensors as well as 13MP front camera and 4000mAh battery.

While waiting for further update from Xiaomi Malaysia regarding the imminent arrival of the phone in our market, don’t forget to check out our first hands-on experience with the phone right here.
