Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a price reduction for the PlayStation VR. The virtual reality headset will be sold for $299.99 (RM1,160) in the American market, making it far more attractive for those who have been on the fence about getting into VR games.
The price drop also extends to PS VR bundles, bringing the price of the PlayStation VR Doom VFR Bundle down to $299.99 and the PlayStation VR The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR Bundle to $349.99.
Other regions such as Europe and Japan are seeing similar reductions, with the price of the headset dropping by 100 euro and 10,000 Yen respectively.
Unfortunately, we have been unable to confirm a price drop for Malaysia. Sony Interactive Entertainment has not commented on the matter yet, but we fully expect the new prices to also come into effect with local stores. It’s only a matter of when it happens.
