Sony could possibly be working on a pair of new Xperia branded tablets; one with an 8-inch display and the other in 10-inches. The revelations come from a Japanese teardown of the camera app on the Sony Xperia XZ2, which also suggests that the tablets will bear the Xperia XZ2 name.
The hints come from code that lists tutorials for the apparent tablets; including images for where the cameras should be located. Thus far, the code only shows the front facing camera for the tablets; but it’s plenty to fuel speculation that Sony is at least considering the idea of returning to the dwindling market.

Cam_core_eye_position_tutorial_port_ Tablet_10inch_icn.Png
Cam_core_eye_position_tutorial_ Tablet_8inch_icn.Png
Cam_core_eye_position_tutorial_ Tablet_10inch_icn.Png
Cam_core_fast_switch_tutorial_port_ Tablet_8inch_icn.Png
Cam_core_fast_switch_tutorial_port_ Tablet_10inch_icn.Png
Cam_core_fast_switch_tutorial_tablet_ 8Inch_icn.Png
Cam_core_fast_switch_tutorial_tablet_ 10Inch_icn.Png”
Of course, there is no telling for sure if the code actually leads to a real product. It could have been there due to earlier tests, and Sony still has plenty of time to change its mind on how to go about with the rest of the Xperia XZ2 line.
