Just a few weeks back, honor Malaysia teased that a new smartphone – likely the honor 7X – will be arriving on our shores very soon. Well, we have a date to look forward to now: the 7X may be launched on 12 December next month.
We just received a teaser for an upcoming event from honor Malaysia. While the image itself is pretty vague, the same #IOOI hashtag on a previous teaser can be seen at the bottom left of the image. On top of that, the number seven is prominently displayed too, suggesting that it could actually be a launch event for the honor 7X.
If this is indeed the honor 7X, it will be the company’s first 18:9 smartphone to arrive in Malaysia. It comes with a 5.93-inch 1080p 18:9 display, a Kirin 659 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,240mAh battery.
In the camera department, the 7X features a dual-camera system on the back. It’s made up of a 16MP sensor and a 2MP sensor to capture depth information to simulate bokeh effects. The selfie camera, on the other hand, is an 8MP shooter.
It’s not certain yet if the honor 7X will indeed be launched in Malaysia on 12 December. If it is the 7X, however, we can expect it to be priced competitively.
