Samsung is set to release a new flip-phone for the China market. The Samung W2018 is the latest W series flagship flip-phone for 2018, and features top-of-the-line hardware in a handsome-looking design.
Underneath the classic flip design is a flagship Android smartphone. It will supposedly come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. As it is a flip phone, it has two screens; both are 4.2-inch 1080p AMOLED touch displays.
Other features includes a 12MP camera at the rear, a 5MP selfie shooter, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a tiny 2,300mAh battery. There’s no word on the Android OS version yet.
Price wise the Samsung W series flip phones have always been on the premium end. Last year’s Samsung W2017 was priced at 20,000 yuan (about RM 12,625) – a luxury purchase, for sure. Other than China, there are no news of availability in other countries including Malaysia.
