The Steam Halloween sale has begun, and brought with it some pleasant surprises. Valve has included not only discounts on horror themed games, but also a small selection of movies. We’re not sure how long these movies have remained hidden on the Steam store, but there are some pretty interesting choices.
Savings are a little on the light side for the sale this time around. There’s a decent discount on the Dead by Daylight and 7 Days to Die, with each coming in under RM20. The sleeper hit Warhammer The End Times: Vermintide is on a very tempting 75% discount for those looking for a Left4Dead style co-op game. Although, it should be noted that Vermintide isn’t quite as forgiving as L4D.
New to the store are Saw: The Complete Collection and An American Werewolf In London. Both of which should set a decent atmosphere for a quiet night in on the Halloween weekend.
Those who prefer lighter fare may be delighted to know that there is a selection of Rifftrax movies now available in the Malaysian Steam store. These shows are generally old B grade movies shown with a host mocking the poor writing and bad acting.
The Halloween sale comes barely a day after Valve introduced digital gift cards. Giving people a new way to share send presents through Steam.
