The popularity of tablets might not be as significant as it used to be but that doesn’t mean the form factor is dead. Several manufacturers are still holding on to it including Samsung who has officially released the Galaxy Tab A (2017) into Malaysia earlier this month.
Built with an 8-inch display, the Android tablet is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. It also able to support microSD card with storage space of up to 256GB.
Aside from featuring metal body that is fused with soft edge grip for better handling, the LTE-enabled Galaxy Tab A (2017) also comes with an 8MP f/1.9 rear camera and 5MP front camera. A 5000mAh battery completes its general specification.
As a bonus, the table comes with 9 children-oriented paid apps worth USD 33 (about RM 140) which include LEGO Jurassic World, LEGO Batman DC Super Heroes, and LEGO Harry Potter: Year 1-4. Available in Black, Silver, and Gold, the new Galaxy Tab A (2017) can be obtained immediately for RM 1,199.
