If you regret updating your iTunes for PC and Mac to version 12.7 that removed access to the iOS App Store, here’s a good news for you. Apple recently quietly rolled out a special version of iTunes, iTunes 12.6.3 that brings back features like Ringtones and Apps that were removed in iTunes 12.7.
The new version of iTunes was first noticed by some Reddit users. It is available for download right now, and even if you have updated to iTunes 12.7, you can still get iTunes 12.6.3 for your PC and Mac. Once installed, you can continue to access your apps and ringtones on iTunes. Do note that if you use iTunes 12.6.3, you will not be prompted to download new versions of iTunes when they become available; “Apple provides technical support only for the latest version of iTunes.”
The latest version of App Store is now available on iOS 11
Apple released iTunes 12.7 just last month, removing access to the iOS App Store. The Cupertino company says that the latest version of iTunes is built “to focus on music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and audiobooks”. iOS users can use the new App Store released with iOS 11 to “get, update, and redownload apps – all without a Mac or PC.”
