Huawei has confirmed that the Mate 10 will have a 4000mAh battery. The post on the company Twitter account posted a video with text reading “battery you can count on” and the value 4000mAh displayed prominently, alongside the launch date of 16 October 2017.
We assumed that the tease refers to the Mate 10 itself. Although, we hope that the large battery capacity will also be shared by the rest of the Mate 10 lineup. Especially since battery life is a huge deal with smartphones these days.
Internally, the phone will be powered by the new HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor. Which happens to be built on the highly power efficient 10nm lithography process. Combining this with a large battery may give the Mate 10 an edge over the competition. After all, who doesn’t want more battery life?
