It was only a couple of weeks ago when Apple unveiled its latest iPhones and the Apple Watch Series 3. Chances are, these products will be coming to Malaysia very, very soon, including the highly anticipated (and costly) iPhone X.

As usual, we were scouring SIRIM’s database when we came across a plethora of products registered under Apple Malaysia. These include the iPhone 8 (A1905), the iPhone 8 Plus (A1897), the iPhone X (A1901), and the 38mm and 42mm models of the GPS only Apple Watch Series 3 (A1858 and A1859 respectively).

However, we’re unable to confirm if the A1959 and A1960 smartwatches are different variants of the Apple Watch Series 3; both models are not listed on Apple’s official site. Nonetheless, it still remains to be seen if the cellular models of the Series 3 watches will be available in Malaysia.

The fact that the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are now in SIRIM’s database isn’t exactly surprising, but it is quite unexpected for the iPhone X to be registered with the certification body at the same time. After all, the iPhone X isn’t expected to start shipping until late October to early November.

Nonetheless, we will keep a close eye on the official availability of the new iPhones and Apple Watch Series 3 in Malaysia. Now that they have been registered with SIRIM, an October launch for these products – bar the iPhone X – wouldn’t be too far-fetched.
