Just recently, Xiaomi Malaysia started promoting its own desktop game on Facebook: The Big Chase. Basically, the game plays very similarly to Slither.io, but The Big Chase does offer something pretty interesting: fans can redeem prizes through the game.
The goal of the game is simple: collect points – gift boxes containing prizes are scattered across the map too – “consume” players that are smaller than you, and at the end of each game, you’ll be presented with several prizes. There are a total of four prizes that are further divided into four pieces each: players will have to collect all four parts of a particular prize to redeem it.
Based on the “prizes” presented in the prize section, all four images are really hinting at the Xiaomi Mi Max 2‘s specifications. These include a sizeable 6.44-inch 1080p display, 4GB of RAM, Sony camera sensors, and a huge 5,300mAh battery.
While The Big Chase is certainly an interesting game – it got us occupied for quite a bit – we still don’t know what are the prizes that are up for grabs. After playing close to 10 games, we’re still unable to get all four pieces of any given prize.
Update (16 August, 4.50PM): Xiaomi Malaysia just revealed that the fourth piece of the four prizes above is only exclusive to certain countries, so no, we won’t be able to redeem any mystery prize. That being said, Xiaomi just announced that the top three players in The Big Chase will walk away with a Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
The Big Chase is currently ongoing and will end on 21 August 2017. So far, we only managed to hit the 4,000 mark; the top three players – at the time of writing – scored well above 7,000.
